Rueda Rueda Ecovero Caftan

The "Rueda Rueda Caftan in Ecovero Viscose Crepe is inspired by A la Rueda Rueda. This is the Spanish or Dominican version of Ring around the Rosie. Much of our Latin and therefore Dominican heritage is derived from Europe as we are the new world but our foundations are those of immigrants. There are multiple versions, but this is the song one we grew up around and all played as kids in Dominican Republic. This rhyme, in spanish, refers to the cinnamon roll or danish, and going to school, but if you don’t feel like going to school, then you go to sleep. Going to sleep in turn refers to the segment of the song in English "Ring around the Rosie", where it says “ We all fall down”. And it is also enacted in the same way.

This Light breezy Caftan is cool modern interpretation of this childhood traditional game and is intended to remind us of the games we played growing up. It is bound to be a conversation starter wherever you go!
